Adelaide is home to some of the most beautiful art museums in the world and this year marks the 20th anniversary of Gstaads Art Exhibition.
The exhibition is also the home of an incredible new festival called the ‘Happiness of Art’ which will showcase some of Gstad’s best artworks.
But with Adelaide’s annual winter festival, the ‘Festival of Hope’ just around the corner, is there anything more exciting than a stroll through one of the city’s most beautiful gardens?
Adelaide has a large variety of outdoor art spaces, with more than 100 different art installations spread across the city.
And as part of the festival, visitors can walk through some of Adelaide’s finest gardens to see some of our most cherished pieces.
So if you’re looking for some of that city’s best outdoor art, and have a great appetite for some great food and drink, then you’ll want to go on this year’s festival, which will run from January 20 to February 1.
You can find out more about the Gstaady Festival here.
To get there, you can either drive to the city centre, or take the metro line to Adelaide’s CBD.
Adelaide’s main city centre is around 8 kilometres away from the city, and there are many options to get around there.
The main pedestrian and cycle paths along Adelaide’s inner harbour, as well as the South Bank, are lined with public art and sculptures, and the city is famous for its gardens, which are dotted with iconic pieces from around the world.
The city’s CBD has been transformed into a thriving art district, and it’s also home to the Adelaide Museum of Contemporary Art, which houses a huge collection of works from around Australia and beyond.
There are also plenty of other great places to explore in Adelaide’s beautiful inner city, such as the historic Adelaide Oval, the Art Gallery of South Australia, and The Art Gallery.
And of course, there are some beautiful outdoor spaces to explore as well, with the beautiful Adelaide Hills and the South Downs as great outdoor destinations.
But the best part about Adelaide is that it’s always a city on the move, so there’s always something happening and new art to experience.
Whether you’re a casual visitor or a true art lover, you’ll definitely want to take a trip to Adelaide this year.
